Guest Speaker Bio:
Edwina Currie was born in Liverpool, where she attended the same school (Liverpool Institute) as Beatles; George Harrison and Paul McCartney, and spent a lot of her adolescence in The Cavern. A scholarship took her to Oxford, and later to the London School of Economics.
She became well known as MP for South Derbyshire 1983-1997, serving in Margaret Thatcher’s Government as a Health Minister. She has written 11 books, including six best-selling novels and two sets of Diaries. More recently, Edwina works regularly in Radio and has appeared in many TV shows including I’m a Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing, Wife Swap and Celebrity Mastermind (which she’s won, twice.)
She set up High Peak Business Club in 2014, with a monthly breakfast meeting, top speakers and networking. They also have a Share Club known for beating the FTSE indices hands down.
